Kataifi is a delicious dessert like baklava. This dessert is made with a special pastry dough, also called kataïfi, consisting of delicate, thin strands made out of shredded phyllo dough. An amazing dessert made with roughly chopped walnuts, scented with ground clove and cinnamon, wrapped in buttered crispy kataifi dough, and bathed in syrup. It belongs to a Greek category of desserts called syropiasta, which means bathed in syrup. The most distinctive aspect of Kataifi is the unique fillo dough that looks like “angel hair”.
